What Does Sos Stand For. Many people believe 'sos' stands for 'save our ship', or 'save our souls' but that is not true. A lot of people are under the impression that sos, the international code signal of distress, is an abbreviation of “save our souls” or “save our ship” (as sos is mostly used by ships at sea).
Is an example of a new, if somewhat unofficial, word in the english language. What does sos really stand for? What does sos really stand for?
